Table Numbers!

My sister and I worked our little fingers down to the bone on these!!
We used 4.5″ x 6.5″ card stock that came in a value pack of 100.

and we used a 12″x12″ paper pad full of different patterned papers

We also bought a stencil to use for the numbers,  we would either cut out the numbers or use glitter on them.  (before using the stencil we, of course, cut the patterned paper down to size)

We printed off  the word “table” in a pretty font and then traced it onto the patterned paper and then WA-LA!

The value card stock was around $4.99 (Micheal’s)

Patterned Paper Pad was $9.99 (w/ coupon at JoAnn’s)

The stencil was around $4 (Micheal’s)

And the glitter was $3. (Walmart)

Total cost for 45 table numbers, 5 family tables and 3 for the wedding party table: $22.98!!

And it only took us a little over a weekend to do it (with breaks:))

Sorry the picture of the finished product is so blurry, camera phone…

hope you like em

What I’m In Love With This Week

I just started really browsing Blog Lovin, and I definitely decided I’m a fan:)

These are some post from fellow bloggers that I love from this week:

1. Igor + Andre’

Artist Danny Roberts Sketch of DNA Model Ali Michael & hardy in Teen Vogue March 2007 Editorial called Made in Japan Photographed by Nick Haymes

Artist: Danny Roberts

This man is amazing! All of his work is just beautiful. I actually used to paint and sketch but with life’s hectic schedule and lack of inspiration, I definitely fell off the wagon, but this blog motivated me to get back on. Which is why Igor + Andre’  was my #1 favorite of the week:)

Plus, there’s a Igor + Andre’ shop!! Do your self a favor and check Danny out:)

2. Discovering Elegance

I love this outfit post by Chelle Morgan. The look just speaks spring and I love it:) Check this girl out , she definitely has a style both elegant and perfectly feminine.

3. Denim on Denim

I love this look I found on Reserverade Fashion.

I love this girl her style is so cute and she’s constantly wearing vintage and thrift store finds! Totally right up my ally. And I’m really loving the denim on denim this season.

4. Designer Thursday on Chic n Cheap Living

This week Chic n Cheap featured Rachel Zoe (fall 2011) I love the suits and dresses. It definitely had a 70’s twist to it and this look was my favorite:

Be sure the check out Chic n Cheap for style tips for body and home:)

5. Silver Ridge Studio

ok so technically this is a shop.. but ive been obsessing with this lovely store since I entered a contest, on Chic n Cheap, to win a piece from it.

Cate Parr is an amazing water-color artist and her work is truly wonderful.

This one is my absolute favorite:

Watercolor Fashion Illustration Print C est Magique

Go check out her shop, her work is something any home would be lucky to have. So be sure to enter the contest!

6. Last but not least, Osborn Shoes

I found a window into the Osborn Design world on Made to Travel.

Needless to say, I fell in love:). These are a bit on the pricey side, but a girl can dream!

Check out Osborn here. And be sure to check out Jamillah at Made to Travel for pointers on awesome brands, trends and style.

Ok, so that was my list of must see sites for the week, I loved them and I hope you do too:)

Always,

Go Thrifting!

The other day my family and I went thifting and I found so many awesome deals! The thrift store we went to just so happen to be having a 50% off sale:)

I found I think 4 skirts, a dress, a top, a purple blazer, a jacket and some things for my boyfriend. Price? get this- $26!!
I’m so proud of my finds:)

Here’s what you do:
Go to a local thrift store that you love.
Sign up to their email list, so you receive a notice each time they have a sale.
Show up for the sale and start saving!

Thrifting is a great way to get new items, even on a budget. Best part? No one will have the same pieces you do. Most of everything is vintage, each item is uniquely yours:)

What I Wore :
Top: target, blazer: applebees thrifted-75cents!, jeans; converse, shoes : target

Sorry for the awful facial expressions haha. It was the end if the day, I was very much so done 🙂

Always,
m

Idea: Clothes Swap box @ the office;)

I got the vintage top from a swap box at my aunt’s office. We actually work for the same company, but we’re in two different counties. I think the swap box is an awesome idea, not only to gain great pieces for your collection, but it also brings people together. I love it. I’m wanting to start one at my county’s office.

Anyways, it started off chilly here in Ohio, but now its warming up beautifully 🙂

What I wore-
Top : vintage freebee, belt : target, leggings : old (Walmart?), moccasins : xhilaration, earrings : forever21, bracelets : vintage/yard sale, bag : Chinese Laundry thrifted
Always,
m
